“Forget Me Nots”

whether not by chance mine eyes meet yours

though in uncharted waters I swim breath

as shallow as thoughts in a winter night

forget me not a bouquet in twilight’s bloom and noon

silhouettes thy symmetry whilst he forgets your beauty no not I

to dwell in such metaphors hiding  in simple similes

to lavish in enigmas and whispered mysteries rather than

exhaust in plain vocabularies

this I sense your shelter from a storm of empty promises

to hide in thine own heart of words never told but desired

than wake up in a bright and sunny nightmare or stare into his

eyes of charred coal as black as his metaphors

(for if he waits not even a crumb of time)

know that your eternity is also mine.
